Terms & Conditions – Future:Trials – STFNs

 

Introduction

By registering for or participating in Future:Trials – STFNs, including its sessions, events, platforms, collaborations, or communications, you agree to these Terms & Conditions, as well as our Privacy Policy. Future:Trials is committed to protecting your pеrsоnаl dаtа and processing it transparently in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDРR).

 

Participation and Engagement

Participation in Future:Trials – STFNs limited to certain amount of participants and is on first come first serve base. Registration is required, and by registering, you agree to respect these Terms. If you register on behalf of another person or organization, you confirm that all relevant parties are informed and agree to these Terms.

 

Event Attendance & No-Show Policy

As participation does not require entry fee, but capacity is limited, we rely on accurate registration and attendance planning.

• If you are unable to attend, you must cancel in writing (e.g., via email) at least 30 calendar days before the event.
• If you do not cancel in time and fail to attend, we reserve the right to charge a no-show fee of EUR 100 (including VAT). This fee represents a reasonable estimate of damage resulting from unfilled seats and unused services.
• You have the right to demonstrate that no damage or a significantly lower damage has occurred.
• The no-show fee may be invoiced after the event and is subject to applicable German VAT regulations.

 

Media & Publicity Consent

By attending Future:Trials – STFNs, you agree that photographs, audio, or video recordings that include your image or voice may be taken during the event. These materials may be used for promotional, educational, or informational purposes by the organizers across various media channels.

 

Collection and Use of Pеrsоnаl Dаtа

We may collect and process the following pеrsоnаl dаtа:

- Name, contact details, job title, and organization

- Preferences or interaction history with our events or platforms

 

Purposes for Data Processing

• To manage event logistics and communication
• To support networking, matchmaking, and partner interactions
• To provide post-event updates, invitations, or relevant materials
• To share limited, relevant data with trusted partners (e.g., speakers, sponsors) for legitimate event-related purposes

 

Data Protection and GDРR Compliance

Your data is processed in accordance with Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) of the GDРR. We take appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data from loss, misuse, or unauthorized access.

Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability

Future:Trials – STFNs provides its services “as is.” While we strive to deliver high-quality content and logistics, we make no warranties regarding outcomes or results. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages unless required by German law. In any case, liability is limited to the actual costs incurred by the participant, excluding indirect losses.

 

Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany. The place of jurisdiction is Munich. If any provision is found invalid, the remaining Terms remain in full force and effect.
