Future:Trials
FUTURE:TRIALS – STFNs is a new event that has been designed to challenge assumptions, surface tensions and explore what clinical research must become in a rapidly evolving healthcare world.
We bring together stakeholders from across the ecosystem, including pharmaceutical companies, CROs, digital health innovators, start-ups, hospitals, patient organisations, policymakers and regulators. What unites them is not agreement, but rather a sense of urgency. It is imperative that improvements are made to the design, conduct, and translation of clinical trials into tangible patient outcomes.
At the core of this transformation are the very people clinical trials are intended to serve: patients. Despite decades of effort, trials remain too slow, too complex, too fragmented – and too often disconnected from real-world care.
We believe clinical trials must become faster in execution, smarter in design, and more human in experience. This involves facilitating experimentation in methodology, embracing digital infrastructure, and prioritising people over protocols.
FUTURE:TRIALS – STFNs, in collaboration with Onco:Innovate, is organising a series of boutique health innovation events across Europe. Each edition is focused and designed to drive momentum – not just conversation – across the healthcare innovation landscape.
Vision & Mission
Our Vision is of a future where clinical trials are faster, smarter and more human, powered by open dialogue, cross-sector collaboration and a shared commitment to patient-centred innovation.
Our Mission is to bring together diverse stakeholders across the clinical research ecosystem, challenging assumptions, spotlighting innovation and driving meaningful improvements in the design, conduct and outcomes of clinical trials.
